Overview of user roles

User roles in the DQC Platform determine who can access, edit, or manage tenant-level settings and data quality content. Each user is assigned one of two roles: Tenant Owner or Tenant Member.


Role types

Tenant owner

  • Full rights across the DQC Platform

  • Can invite or remove users

  • Can change other users' roles (including demoting other owners)

  • Can manage tenant-wide settings like:

    • Groups

    • Quality dimensions

    • BI integration

    • Tags and rule categories

Tenant member

  • Can work with connectors, tables, rules, and missions

  • Cannot access tenant-level configuration menus

  • Can add data source connectors

  • Access to assets (tables, rulesets, etc.) is defined via permissions

  • Can edit data assets — unless restricted on a specific asset

Managing roles

Tenant Owners can:

  • Add or remove members

  • Promote members to owners or demote them to members

  • Adjust access to specific connectors, tables, and rulesets
